Why choose dancing as weekly sport?

Because dance is fabulous! Dancing could be a flow, which takes us away from everyday problems and habits. You get there, just close your eyes and dance, and then wake up when the music stops (unfortunately). Once you taste it and it catches you, you are never going to stop practicing or looking for an opportunity to dance.
What kind? For who? Could this be a sport? Or it is only a fun? Lots of question can come up for those who don’t like it or never try. Dance can be a sport and also a fun at the same time, like every kind of movement what we doing with our heart, not only with our body.
What kind of dance?

With many choices, dance is a great connection between sport and fun.
We just have to find our preference and it basically does not matter how old we are. Of course the Capoeira might be difficult for my mother but who knows? Dance is for everybody; every single one of us can find the right one. Offered for those who don’t want to sweat in the gym, and suffer to lose weight, and count the calories.
They just want to feel good, carefree, and they’ll already lose weight. Why? Because dance makes us forget about depression, work, worries and everything that takes us back, make as eat more, and feel sorry about ourselves.
So, dance is like falling in love. Offering and giving a harmony between you and the music, your soul and your body, we can be lost for long minutes, turning the button off and fly - that is dance; like electricity.
Sports and health
Yes, dance could be a sport – like Capoeira or classical ballet – they both need quite a good physical condition, probably those are primarily for young ones, or for those who were practicing sports or dances before. But the other dances can fit to: couples, for elderly people, busy moms, housewives, busy businessmen, single persons, and kids.
Benefits
- Turns up the pulse
- Gives fresh blood to the cycle
- Burns calories
- Stimulates the testosterone hormones
- Teaches us to be aware of our body better
- Coordinates our movements
- Improves concentration
- Gives us relaxing moments – because we have to concentrate on what we are doing, we are not able to think about anything else.
- Is just like meditation
I think it doesn’t need more argument, dance speaks for itself and there is no side effects, that is the best conclusion.
