Beet mash

  • 120 g beets, trimmed, peeled
  • 60 ml water
  • 1 pcs apple, cored, diced

  1. Place beets in a small sauce pan then pour in water until the beets are just covered.
  2. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Add apple and cook for 10 minutes more.
  4. Reserve 2 tablespoons cooking liquid then drain the beets and apple.
  5. Transfer the beet and apple in a food blender.
  6. Add reserved liquid and process until smooth. Serve when cooled.
