Cranberry punch

  • 4 1/4 cup red wine, dry
  • 2 1/2 cup cranberry juice
  • 1 2/3 cup ginger ale
  • 4/5 cup orange juice, fresh
  • 7 oz cranberries, dried, soaked in warm water for an hour
  • 1 pcs lime, cut in wedges
  • 4 pcs cinnamon stick, broken in half

  1. Combine red wine, cranberry juice, and orange juice in a pot. Heat the mixture until it starts simmering, then turn off heat.
  2. Mix in soaked cranberries and lime wedges, then let the punch chill in the fridge for a night (you can use raw cranberries too, then you don't have to soak them into water before using).
  3. Stir ginger ale right before serving. Place a cinnamon stick in each glass.
  4. If you wish, you can serve it hot immediately after heated. In this case, heat it up by adding the soaked cranberries and limes.
