Date-cinnamon chutney

  • 250 g dates, chopped
  • 50 g raisins
  • 150 ml apple cider vinegar
  • 5 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp cinnamon, ground
  • 1 tsp ginger, ground
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg, ground
Preparation

  1. Place the vinegar, spices, and raisins in sauce pot then heat until it boils; then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Add dates and syrup then stir well; cook for 5-7 minutes or until dates are softened.
  3. Remove and set aside to cool to room temperature.
