Hungarian 'Linzer' filled with marmalade

approx. 30 pcs

  • 300 g butter, unsalted
  • 120 g icing sugar
  • 300 g all purpose flour
  • 2 pcs egg yolk
  • 120 g almond flour
  • 50 g currant marmalade

  1. Knead together all ingredients, except marmalade. Put in folio and let it rest for an hour in the fridge.
  2. Heat up oven to 190⁰C.
  3. Roll out the dough to half an inch and cut the crowns. One part should be with the normal flower cutter, the other part should have a hole in the middle.
  4. Put them onto a baking plate lined with baking paper.
  5. Bake for about 7-8 minutes, but maximum 10 minutes. Let it cool down.
  6. Put a teaspoon of marmalade to the whole flowers and stick the flowers with the hole onto the top.
  7. Decorate with icing sugar.


Good points

This is a Christmas cookie...no one cares good points at Christmas :)

If you do not have flower cutter, you can use what you have. The only point is to have a whole and a holed shape. Marmalade can also be replaced based on your taste.
