Kid's party drink from orange tea
Ingredients
Convert
500 ml water
300 ml orange juice
200 ml Rooibos tea, prepared
2 pcs cinnamon stick
1 pcs anise star
1 pcs apple, washed, cored, cut into cubes
1 pcs orange, washed, sliced
Preparation
Pour water into a pot and start to heat on high. Halfway to a boil, add orange juice.
After boiling, turn the heat very low, it's enough to keep the punch warm and let the spices enhance their flavours.
Add star anise, cinnamon sticks, and most of the orange slices. Reserve as many slices as the number of glasses of punch you wish to serve.
Keep the mixture on low heat for 10 minutes, then turn off heat.
Discard the spices and orange slices, then add the rooibos tea and mix well.
To serve, place apple cubes in high glasses then add the punch when it's warm. Place a teaspoon in each glass.
