Small ishler

25 pieces

  • 140 g flour
  • 50 g cane sugar
  • 100 g butter, unsalted
  • 50 g walnuts, ground
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon, ground
  • 50 g currant marmalade
  • 150 g 70% chocolate
  • 2 tbsp butter, unsalted

  1. Heat up oven to 180⁰C
  2. Knead together flour, butter, hazelnuts, and cinnamon. Put into folio and chill in fridge for 1 hour.
  3. Roll out dough to 3-4mm thick. Cut it out with a 3 to 4cm round cookie cutter. Put them on a baking plate lined with baking paper.
  4. Put to oven for about 5-10 minutes. Take care that the colour stays light. Let it cool down.
  5. When they are cold, stick them together with the marmalade.
  6. On the top of boiling water in another pan, heat up the butter and melt the chocolate. When your water is boiling, keep it on middle heat.
  7. Cover the Ishlers fully with the chocolate.

Good points

If you wish, you can just dip the cookies half in chocolate.
