Strawberry marmalade

to 10 jars of 150ml

  • 2 kg strawberries
  • 600 g cane sugar
  • 2 pcs lemon, juiced
  • 600 ml water

  1. Prepare jam jars and sterilize them in hot water (you need to "cook" the jars in boiling water, then let them dry without touching the inside with anything).
  2. Add strawberries, lemon juice, and sugar into a 5L pan, boil it up covered and continue simmering at very low temperature for 30 minutes.
  3. Increase the temperature to middle heat and cook until you get the right consistency. The unnecessary liquid will evaporate.
  4. Pour the marmalade into your jars as full as possible and screw tightly.
  5. Turn the jars up side down to the tops and cover around with warm blanket.
  6. Let them cool down under the blankets.
