Vanilla-Walnuts tea cookie

60 pcs

  • 400 g all purpose flour
  • 240 g butter, unsalted
  • 240 g cane sugar
  • 425 g walnuts
  • 2 pcs eggs
  • 1 pcs lemon
  • 7 g vanilla sugar
  • 50 ml mulberry jam

  1. Heat up oven to 200⁰C.
  2. You need ground walnuts (200g) and halves for decorating (60 halves, each for one cookie).
  3. Knead together the flour, butter, sugar, ground walnuts, eggs, lemon zest and lemon juice, and vanilla sugar.
  4. Roll out to 1-cm thick. Cut out with to 4-cm round cookie cutter.
  5. Line baking plate with baking paper and put the round dough into it, leaving some space in beetween. Put the half walnuts to half of the cookies.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes. Let it cool down.
  7. Grease the other half of the cookies with the jam.
  8. Stick the walnuts sides onto the top.
